About Kranus Health GmbH

Kranus Health is a digital health company redefining virtual care in urology. The company develops evidence-based digital therapies that give people access to specialised medical care from anywhere, including Kranus Mictera, the recently launched digital therapy for women's health. Kranus Health's products include Kranus Edera, Kranus Lutera and Kranus Mictera. All three applications are 12-week digital therapies with multimodal content such as pelvic floor training, psychotherapeutic and physiotherapeutic exercises and educational knowledge modules. In addition, they are: • prescribable without affecting the drug and remedies budget • fully reimbursable for people with statutory and private health insurance • scientifically proven, with demonstrated effectiveness in a randomised controlled trial • guideline-compliant in their therapy design • and combinable with drug therapy. By combining medical expertise, modern technology and personal support, Kranus Health closes gaps in care and improves treatment outcomes for patients worldwide. Women and men receive the support they need, and the therapies help them regain their quality of life simply, effectively and discreetly.

Kranus Edera: for men with erectile dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction affects almost one in two men over 50. Kranus Edera, an approved digital health application (DiGA), offers a cause-oriented, guideline-compliant therapy as a prescription app, free of charge and reimbursed by statutory and private health insurers. The 12-week programme combines pelvic floor training, physiotherapeutic and cardiovascular exercises with mindfulness and sex therapy elements. The content is individually adapted to each patient's progress. Additional knowledge modules promote understanding of erectile function and the influence of lifestyle factors such as diet or stress. The effectiveness of the programme was scientifically demonstrated in the EDDIG study, which showed improved erectile function, increased quality of life and greater patient activation.

Kranus Lutera: for men with frequent urge to urinate due to BPH and OAB

Kranus Lutera is an approved DiGA supporting men with LUTS. The application aims to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life. The focus is on reducing urinary urgency, urinary frequency and possible incontinence episodes through holistic digital therapy via app. The 12-week therapy is based on a multimodal approach to treating bladder voiding disorders. It was developed by experts in men's health, is scientifically based and follows current medical guidelines. Its content includes various therapeutic components, including a micturition diary for recording fluid intake and urine volumes. Kranus Lutera also includes bladder training and pelvic floor training with physiotherapeutic exercises. Mental exercises help users learn relaxation techniques and reduce stress. An integrated knowledge section also covers the basics of bladder function and relevant conditions. The BEST study marks an important milestone in urological research and confirms the effectiveness of Kranus Lutera: the app showed significant improvements in symptom burden in BPH and OAB, increased quality of life across all patient groups and high therapy adherence of 89.6%.

Kranus Mictera: for women with urge, stress and mixed incontinence

Urinary incontinence is a highly taboo subject that affects many women. An estimated 25 to 45% of women are affected, the most common forms being urge, stress and mixed incontinence. Only about one in five of those affected seeks medical help, which underlines the importance of accessible and effective treatment options. In practice, implementation is often difficult: multimodal therapy concepts are organisationally complex and involve various specialist groups. Kranus Mictera was developed to close this gap in care: the new digital health application for all main forms of female incontinence. The application helps women relieve their symptoms and improve their quality of life. Kranus Mictera is an evidence-based, app-based therapy that combines physical, psychological and behavioural approaches (pelvic floor training, behavioural therapy, mental exercises, bladder diary, etc.) in a 12-week programme. The aim of the therapy is to reduce incontinence episodes through a holistic digital treatment approach via app. In the DINKS study, 92% of patients in the intervention group reported an improvement in symptoms, and one in four patients became fully continent.
