SOFY GmbH

SOFY GmbH was founded in 2018 and, in a research project together with the Medical University of Vienna, developed two Class I digital medical devices for the treatment of unipolar depression. These are registered in the Austrian medical device register and are distributed as a medical device system under Art. 22 MDR as edupression.com. Their effectiveness, a significant reduction in depression severity and a significant improvement in depression literacy and other positive care effects (patient empowerment, optimisation of treatment processes, etc.) is being examined in ongoing clinical studies. The effectiveness of edupression.com® is based on • psychoeducation, • digital psychotherapy and • therapy feedback (mood chart). edupression.com® is in the fast-track application process to become a DiGA (digital health application) so that it can be prescribed in Germany as an "app on prescription".
