Mindable Health GmbH
Mindable Health is a digital health company based in Berlin, founded in 2019 by Linda Weber and Eddie Rietz. The company has launched two permanently listed DiGA for anxiety disorders: Mindable: Panic & Agoraphobia and Mindable: Social Phobia. Both are grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy and based on the content of proven treatment manuals for the respective indication. They were developed in close collaboration with the authors of these manuals.
Mindable Health translates established psychotherapeutic content and techniques into digital programmes that are scientifically sound while also engaging and easy to use. The aim is for those affected to receive effective help when and where they need it, without long waiting times or other barriers. The programmes step in where care reaches its limits. In Germany, patients wait around 5 months to start psychotherapy covered under the statutory guidelines (BPtK, 2018). The programmes can bridge this waiting time meaningfully or be used alongside ongoing psychotherapy. What is discussed there once a week in 50 minutes is carried over more effectively into everyday life and embedded more deeply. The goal is to offer people with anxiety disorders immediate first aid and to ease the workload of healthcare professionals.
Both applications are CE-marked Class IIa medical devices under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Their efficacy has been examined in three randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and one pilot study. Partners included Constructor University, University Hospital Bonn, Goethe University Frankfurt and TU Dresden. Mindable: Panic & Agoraphobia: after 8 weeks, a significantly greater reduction in panic and agoraphobia symptoms was observed compared with the waitlist control group (Cohen's d = 0.64). Self-efficacy increased significantly (d = 0.53; Spies et al., 2025). A second RCT confirmed the reduction in symptoms after just 5 weeks and also showed significantly higher quality of life (Guth et al., 2025). Mindable: Social Phobia: after 12 weeks, a significantly greater reduction in social anxiety symptoms was observed compared with the waitlist control group (d = 1.0 to 1.1). Six months later, symptoms had improved further (Schittenhelm et al., 2026). Find out more at: mindable.health/wissenschaft
