Burnout prevention and physical balance for workplace health management with virtual reality!
brainjo GmbH is a start-up attracting attention by developing digital therapies in virtual reality, enabling a groundbreaking approach to treating children with AD(H)D independent of time and place. The start-up already has B2B applications for workplace health management on the market and has won over customers such as IKEA, Continental, Krones and other German companies. With its B2B product, it has been working for more than 3 years with the largest health insurers such as AOK, Barmer and TK, offering joint programmes under §20 SGB V. For the past 1.5 years, brainjo has been working with partners including MEDICE to expand its portfolio with a DiGA for attention disorders. The planned therapy is a CE-certified, VR-based serious gaming app for children and adolescents aged 8 to 13. The behavioural therapy content is largely based on therapy manuals and programmes from the S3 guideline and is selected so that it has shown evidence of improvement in clinically relevant endpoints in high-quality studies. The planned DiGA is intended to help prescribers give their patients and families access to multimodal therapy, which in reality is rarely provided due to scarce resources and specialist waiting lists.
